• Label your DNWs as such

It avoids us wondering if "things I'm super not into" means DNWs or if they can still appear in the gift;

• Only DNWs clearly stated in your signups will be enforceable

DNWs only listed on an external site will be considered optional details by the mod team since we cannot prevent participants from editing them once assignments are sent;

• Be explicit with your smut DNWs

DNWs such as "no hard kinks" and "no kinks" are too vague for your creator to be certain they won't hit your DNWs. Kinks can go in many directions, including CNC, Fingering, Hand Kisses, Missionary, and Watersports. Someone may consider Omegaverse as a hard kink, others not. If you're unsure how to formulate DNWs, you can take a look at the List of Fan-fiction Kinks, Tropes, and Clichés on Fanlore;

• PWP is not an enforceable DNW

Considering the minimum requirements are not made with long works in mind, this DNW would be unfair to your creator;

• No DNWs in your signup means all bets are off

Be prepared to receive anything with one of your requested tags, from mutual masturbation reading erotica to underage woundfucking with dewclaws and necrophilia. If you're adventurous, this can lead to great surprises; if not...consider adding DNWs!

• Do not railroad your creator into specific gifts with your DNWs

There needs to be space within your DNWs to write something that your creator will enjoy making. Make sure the combination of your DNWs does not corner them into creating something that would require a Major Archive Warning.

• Don't be rude

You don't need to express opinions or explain why said kink, trope or else is in your DNWs. Remember that your DNW may be someone else's likes; be respectful!
